No, it not too early. It’s time to make a list and check it twice – for cookie recipes that is! Today several bloggers are coming together sharing their best holidays cookies for you to try – 25 in all!
Who doesn’t like cookies and more cookies – just add a glass of milk! You’ll be sure to find that perfect cookie to share with family, friends or even Santa 🙂
Every year I like to try a new cookie for Christmas. We definitely have our family favorites like Triple Ginger Chocolate Chunk and Cranberry Pinwheels. But I’m always on the lookout to try something new and see what other cookies are family traditions with other folks.
Have you ever been in a cookie exchange? I have not but think it would be fun to meet up – let’s say over some holiday cheer – and swap cookies so you can try a lot of different kinds. Maybe I should start a group up on my own! If you are in one, I would love to hear how you organize it.
This year too I would have to have my granddaughter help. She’s three years old and likes being in the kitchen when others are cooking or baking. She pushes a chair up to the counter and asks to help. I think we could have a lot of fun with decorating cut-outs with frosting and sprinkles. And in her case drink some hot cocoa!

Question, just wanted to clarify that we are talking fresh cranberries? Foe the filling…

Hi, yes if you are talking about the pinwheel cookies. I sent you an email too.

I have hosted several cookie exchanges over the years. I would make all my favourite appetizers for the exchange as this was the way to see my girlfriends (and meet some of their friends) before the days leading to Christmas became too hectic. In a typical cookie exchange you each bake an extra dozen to be sampled at the exchange.. but instead… We gave the dozens of cookies to a family who was going through a difficult time. No fanfare.. just a simple act to help lighten a load at a stressful time.
