This past Friday after the usual day of fishing for John and his friends (and occasionally Kristina and Benj), Jone’s came over for dinner. We started out with Cocktail Time (as Sandra Lee would say), had some apps and then our first course of salad. Here are some pictures from the starters and I’ll post the main course another time…
|Drink was pretty refreshing and tropical…. good for a warm evening!|
I made up some deviled eggs…. I don’t have a written recipe – I just use S&P, some yellow mustard (about 1 1/2 tbl here) and some Mayo (about 4 tbl here). Then used my fancy smancy gadget from Pampered Chef to fill the eggs whites.
Nibbled on some crackers and artichoke dip too… I love the small pita crackers from Trader Joe’s… they are lightly salted and crisp
Next up was a Strawberry Spinach Salad….ingredients were baby spinach, sliced strawberries, thin sliced red onion, and sugared pecans topped with a store bought poppy seed dressing
Come back later for the main course :-)!
