We've all heard it is not nice to fool with Mother Nature, right?  But what about when Mother Nature fools with us?  Oh sure she teased us when it was in the 60s for five-six days, all the snow was gone, had a little extra skip in my step then bam we woke up this morning to ten inches of snow!  What's a girl to do?  Well, that is where this lasagna soup comes in.  We did have a heads up the storm was coming so I ran out last night to get "provisions" as we prepared to hunker down.  That's what us Minnesotans do, even this transplanted one - we wouldn't want to starve :)

Today's recipe was especially made for our granddaughter Emily so I'm dedicating this post to her.
Doesn't it seem like in recent years we hear more about peanut allergies?  When my kids went to school, I think I heard of a couple kids with it and honestly did not pay much attention.  I do have one friend who's son has it and learned a little more but it wasn't in our family.  That changed when Emily had a reaction the first time it was introduced to her and she broke out in hives.  Long story short with visits to the doctor and testing, she has tested positive.  Luckily she has never had any breathing problems and obviously we are very careful with her foods.  She still loves her treats though and I love making them for her so be sure to check out the recipe to see how this was made peanut free.

When life gives you lemons, you must make these lemon pull apart rolls.  They are easy to make since you start with frozen dinner rolls and then you add the love, that being lemon zest and lemon juice!  They are perfect for brunch and breakfast or even for a snack.  You might be tempted to keep these all to yourself (ummm, I was) but sharing these beauties will certainly bring a bit of sunshine and a smile to your family and friends.

Yes, I know it is Valentine's Day today, but I'm sure by now you have a special dessert ready to go. And if not, no worries, there is still time to make my recent recipe Raspberry Mousse Tarts.  They are a quick, easy,  no bake dessert.

But for those of us who are looking forward to a new holiday dessert, let's move onto St. Patrick's Day with these mini mint brownie bites.  Each wee little bite is like finding gold at the end of a rainbow with a fudgy brownie, chocolate ganache and topped with a smooth buttercream frosting.  And adding sprinkles makes them magically delicious!

Football season may be over until the fall but appetizers are always in season right?  You can even eat appetizers for dinner and these totchos definitely score for that.  Maybe some of you are thinking what the heck are totchos.  True story - I only found out about a year ago what they were and now have been wondering where they have been all my life!  Totchos are like nachos only made with tator tots.  I would love to meet the genius who thought of these!
