Fresh Cherry Crisp

Fresh Cherry Crisp a la mode | Cooking on the Front Burner

I love this time of year when cherries are available!  It reminds me when I was a kid and we would go to my grandmother's house and go "down the yard" and pick cherries at the neighbors house.  I was able to pick the low lying ones and my uncles would place ladders against the tree to get the majority.  My tongue would be bright red by the end of the afternoon and hopefully I didn't get a stomach ache!  In memory of those great times, I created this fresh cherry crisp for you to enjoy.

Best Of the Weekend and News

Stay Connected with Cooking on the Front Burner

Before we get this party started, I'm announcing this will be my last night with BOTW.  The party will still continue with the other fab gals.  I've enjoyed co-hosting for over a year but feel it's time to move on with other busy stuff I have going on.  Seeing your fun projects and wonderful recipes have definitely been the highlight of my week.  I'll still be blogging and posting 2-3 new recipes a week and I know what party I'll be linking them up to!  Be sure next week to link up with either Cindy, Sheryl, Amy or Ginnie.  Now onto the party and features.

Mint Chip Fudge Ice Cream

Mint Chocolate Chip Fudge Ice Cream | Cooking on the Front Burner

Summer and ice cream go together like PB&J, mac-n-cheese and well, you get the idea.  Mint Chocolate Chip with Fudge happens to be my favorite flavor (at least this summer!)  We have a local shop called Flapdoodles that the DIY Guy and I have been known to frequent every couple weeks.  He'll try different flavors like Salty Caramel and Coffee Chip.  I keep going back to the mint and thought it was time to try and make my own.
