Amazon Giveaway time!

What would you do with a $250 Amazon Gift Card??  Have something special on your wish list?  Or maybe save it for some gift giving - I hear there is a big holiday in a couple months :-)  Though if you have any Hobby Lobby's by you, they had the "C" stuff up the end of June!  Much too early for me - I wanted to enjoy summer without being greeted by trees in the lobby... ha.

Today's recipe is a first for me - I have not made any type of 'butters' in my culinary life nor have I ever tried one.  I have been intrigued and decided since it is getting to pumpkin season, I would give a try with this Pumpkin Butter recipe.  I even tried it - well, I assume you know that I do try all my recipes.  In fact, while I was editing these pictures, I was munching on an english muffin with this tasty spread!  I wanted to go back for seconds!

Stay Connected with Cooking on the Front Burner

Welcome to Best of the Weekend!  Everyone settling back in a groove? It's really hard to believe it's the 2nd Friday of September - while it is getting to be fall, I'm still hopeful we'll get some Indian Summer weather.  Last weekend I was with my 2 sister-in-laws in Wilmington NC with temps in the upper 80's and I loved it.... flash forward to the last couple days where I needed to turn on my car's seat warmers - 40's - ick!  Whatever the weather, our party goes on.  We are kinda like the mailman!

Clambake Time!

How to host a clambake

This past weekend it was time for our good friend's annual clambake and if my math is correct, I believe this was the 20th year!  The bake is always on Labor Day weekend and {knock on wood} has never been rained out.  Our friends are gracious hosts who prepare the food, we all chip in for our share and are asked to bring something.  I'm assigned to desserts - they know I love to make something decadent that I wouldn't normally make for everyday eating.  If you follow me on IG, you might already have an idea of what I made....
