Best of the Weekend and Game Day Food

Stay Connected with Cooking on the Front Burner

Welcome to the first Friday in October and Best of the Weekend!  Let me just say it feels really good to be back home and blogging.  Last week at this time I was in NY and was saying goodbye to my dad.  Earlier that week we had moved him to a senior apartment and then spent all week getting his house ready to put on the market.  I'm not sure of any of you have had to deal with an elderly parent but it is physically and emotionally draining.  The good news he is in a better living situation and seems to be adjusting well...whew!

As a reminder, all five hosts have their own features - be sure to stop by to see them all!

Hosts:

Joan from Chocolate, Chocolate and More was the most reviewed with this Caramel Pecan Biscuit Bake - looks pretty fantastic doesn't it!

Are you ready for some football {snacks}???  Get your game day plan on with these yummy recipes!

  2. Happy weekend, Deb! Thank you so much for including my Mini Chili Bites in your feature picks for this week. Such a nice treat to be included! And I'm sorry to hear about the situation you're facing with your Dad. I understand ... our family is working through something quite similar with our Dad. It's indeed difficult. Prayers and positive thoughts to you and your family!
