The best "Iced Tea"

Disclaimer:  these are Long Island Ice Teas... so do not serve to anyone under 21!

We were part of the "test" group for a recipe that our friend Dave was trying to perfect.  The above picture is the final product.  Another try was made about a month earlier....

I'm giving it 4+ stars!

Here is Dave's original recipe:

Simple Syrup (yields 10 oz):
- Heat 1 cup water to boil.
- Add 1 cup sugar and return to boil.
- Cool

Sour Mix:
- 1 part simple syrup
- 1 part fresh lemon juice (I also use some fresh lime juice)

Long Island Ice Tea mix (all clear liquors):
- 1 part vodka
- 1 part tequila
- 1 part rum
- 1 part gin
- 1/2 part triple sec
- 1-1/2 parts sour mix

If each part is 1 oz., then this would be 6 oz. total mix (will yield 2 servings).
If each part is 6 oz., then this would be 36 oz. total mix (will yield 12 servings).

Mix with coke at ratio of 3:2 (3 oz. mix and 2 oz coke).
Put in glass with lots of ice!
Add lemon garnish.
